This is written to commend you for a great job in my difficult move from New York City to Boston. The men had to carry many rooms of furniture up five flights of stairs, including a very large grand piano and it was done very efficiently and courteously with no damage. I was very pleased, as the company had to do much coordination work with my two downtown buildings and with the police to tend the traffic hassles, etc. It was all very professionally done. The professional team of movers at The Padded Wagon made our move an actual pleasurable experience!! We had been in our Manhattan apartment for 40 years, so the task of moving and packing was daunting, to say the least.

The wonderful father and two sons team, along with two others efficiently packed up the apartment in one day, loaded it on to the truck the next day and delivered it to our new home on the third day ... all in perfect condition, and with items placed where we requested.

My only advice regarding your estimating process in the future would be for you to give your clients some idea of an appropriate range for gratuities. As one of your colleagues can report, I felt I had not done enough when the men left Mattapoisett. I called to inquire about their expectations. We were able to reach Dennis who returned within 20 minutes or so, and I was able to make people happier. I think your customers will want to do the right thing and it is helpful to give them a heads-up in advance.
